What is the French Cultures Festival?

Organized by Villa Albertine Houston, The French Culture Festival is a month-long annual celebration dedicated to honoring and promoting French speaking communities in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. During a month, our cultural and educational partners will organize artistic and educational events related to the French speaking world. We work with a wide variety of partners, ranging from museums and schools to universities, non-profits, and artists.

The events range from visual arts, performing arts, music, cinema, literature, conferences & lectures, education & French language, and gastronomy.

The festival serves as a platform for French-speaking communities to celebrate and showcase their unique traditions, arts, and linguistic nuances, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of the French language and its global cultural influence.

In 2025, the French Cultures Festival developed new partnerships with lcoal communities, and was a pivotal platform for cultural celebration, especially in the state of Texas, a home to over 60,000 French speakers.
